Worth the Wait!
My husband and I visited DC recently and dined at Next Door after a recommendation from hotel staff. We had the Crispy Salmon, U Street Salad and the Chocolate Chip Pecan Coconut pie. This was truly an experience. The Salmon was perfectly prepared with a pink center. I'm still looking for a recipe for the pie! We had the Half Smokes at the bar the next day. They were average. However, Next Door is exceptional!

Not Your Average Bar
A few girlfriends and I stumbled upon Next Door while we were searching for a new resy to check out. The space is absolutely amazing and the bar has that "cheers" kind of feel to it. The real treat is the restaurant at the back of the bar...I had the short ribs another friend had salmon, and another the fried chicken...all was well, and we will definitely return to try the weekend brunch. -Minnie on 04/22/2009 |  |
